It was dark when Lila snuck out of the house.

With only the moon and stars for light, she hurried carefully down to the lake. She’d invited Morgan over for a midnight swim in the lake to escape from the heat wave Port Charles was going through, and she was fairly certain she’d convinced him to come.

He’d better come, she thought to herself. If he didn’t, and it got back to Spencer, she’d never hear the end of it.

She reached the boathouse. She tried the door handle and when it would budge cursed at herself for forgetting to bring the key with her. She shrugged a little and sat down on the dock, feet dangling in the water.

Footsteps approached behind her. “You’re late!” she called out, not turning around to see who it was.

“And here I thought I was crashing the party,” came the smug, laughing reply in a voice that was most definitely not Morgan’s.

“You can turn around and leave,” Lila ordered. “I don’t want you here.”

Spencer ignored her and kept walking towards her. He sat down next to her on the edge of the dock. “You sure about that?”

She crossed her arms over her chest. “Most definitely.”

Spencer shook his head tsking lightly. “And here I thought I was doing you a favor by coming to play messenger.”

She narrowed her eyes at him. “Messenger?”

“If you’d just brought your cell phone with you, none of this would have been necessary…” he drawled.

“Just spit it out, Spencer,” Lila ordered impatiently.

“You’re absolutely no fun when you’re like this,” he sighed. “If you must know, my cousin was unavoidably detained. He tried to call you to tell you, but you didn’t answer and so, since I’m the only other one that actually enjoys talking to you, asked me to come let you know.” He smirked. “Wasn’t that gentlemanly of him?”

“I’m surprised you know what that word means,” Lila muttered under her breath.

Spencer gasped and raised a hand to his chest dramatically, effecting a shocked expression. “After I came all this way to keep you from waiting all night for a boy that wasn’t going to show up, you have the temerity to accuse me of not being a gentleman?”

“Yes,” she said flatly. “You can go now, you know.”

“Very lady of the manor, aren’t we?” Spencer smirked. He scooted closer to Lila and leaned in towards her. “I think I’ll stay, if you don’t mind.”

“I do mind,” Lila shot back.

“Want to lick your wounds in private?” He was just a hairsbreadth away from her ear. “I could help with that.”

She suppressed the shiver that was threatening to shoot down her spine. “No thanks.”

He shrugged and leaned away from her. “Your loss.”

They didn’t speak for several minutes, the only sound the crickets chirping in the night air.

Finally, Spencer spoke. “So I have to ask, what exactly was your plan here, Lila? You think a little moonlight skinny dipping would be just the thing to convince Morgan to take you to bed?”

Lila rolled her eyes. “Not that it’s any of your business, but no. I’m not trying to get him into bed.” She smirked. “Well, not just into bed.”

“Right…” Spencer drawled. “I’m supposed to believe you really like him or something?”

“Would that be so hard to believe?” Lila asked pointedly.

He nodded. “From you? Absolutely.” He leaned closer again. “People like you and I? We don’t do normal. And Morgan, my dear, is the very definition of normal.”

“You don’t like your cousin very much do you?” Lila observed.

Spencer shrugged. “I like him fine. But he is what he is and that’s entirely not what you need. Or even want, if you’d be honest with yourself.”

“That’s where you’re wrong,” Lila corrected. “You don’t have the slightest idea what I want or what I need.”

He raised an eyebrow. “Don’t I?”

He didn’t give her a chance to answer.

Before she realized what was happening, Spencer’s mouth was on hers kissing her hungrily. One of his hands wrapped around her body tugging her even closer, and the other wound into her hair, holding her just where he wanted her. His tongue probed insistently at her lips till she parted them with a moan, giving into the demands of his mouth.

Growing dissatisfied with the awkward position, Spencer slid the hand that had been around her waist down to her thigh and tugged her onto his lap, settling her straddled against him.

Using her new position to regain some of the power she’d given up to him earlier, Lila began rubbing her body discreetly against Spencer’s, while staring into his eyes daring him to make the next move.

His hands reached out to still her hips. “I thought you didn’t want this, princess,” he growled.

She shook her head. “Never said I didn’t want this,” she panted. “Just want other things too.”

“Well for now, let’s concentrate on what you have.” Spencer pulled her head back down to his forcefully, crashing his lips against hers once more.

The two teens fell backwards onto the dock tangled up in each other and completely oblivious to the rest of the world.

Later Lila would blame it on the moonlight.

Oooh, hot!

“Want to lick your wounds in private?” He was just a hairsbreadth away from her ear. “I could help with that.”
